Planning your dream trip abroad? One of the most common concerns travelers face is the visa application process. We get it — it can feel overwhelming with all the requirements, timelines, and rules. That is why we put together this complete FAQ guide so you know exactly what to expect when you work with Weekendays Travel and Tours.
How do I submit my visa documents?
You can bring your documents directly to our office or send them via courier. If you are submitting through courier, please take note of the following:
- Inform our Visa Officer of the expected date and time your documents will arrive.
- Place your documents in a sealed parcel or envelope. Do not include any cash payments inside. All payments must be settled through bank deposit or online bank transfers only.
- Attach a copy of your deposit slip together with your documents inside the sealed parcel. If paid online, send the proof of payment to our email.
- Documents without an attached deposit slip or proof of payment will not be processed.
- Courier and delivery fees are charged to the applicant.
Can Weekendays Travel guarantee my visa approval?
We will provide our best professional assistance throughout the application process, but visa approval is not something any travel agency can guarantee. The final decision rests entirely with the embassy or consulate based on your submitted documents and the consul's assessment. What we can promise is that we will guide you every step of the way.
What exactly does your Visa Officer do?
Our Visa Officers will handle the following on your behalf:
- Provide a complete and updated list of visa requirements based on your destination, and thoroughly review all submitted documents for accuracy and completeness
- Advise on proper document preparation and flag any potential concerns to help strengthen your application
- Handle the submission of your visa application to the embassy or accredited processing center, and guide you through the biometrics process (if applicable)
- Keep you informed with timely updates once your application has been lodged, including any additional requirements if requested
- Assist in monitoring your application status
- Collect your passport and visa result from the embassy or accredited office
How long should my passport be valid?
As a general rule for international travel, your passport must be valid for at least 6 months beyond your intended stay. This means it must still have more than 6 months of validity remaining at the time you submit your visa application.
How early can I apply for a visa?
In general, you can apply for a visa up to 3 months before your departure date. Some embassies allow applications up to 6 months in advance. We always recommend applying as early as possible within the embassy's allowed window so you have time to address any concerns that come up.
Do I need to submit my original passport?
Yes, in most cases your original passport is required for visa processing. However, there are some countries where this is not required. Our Visa Officer will advise you accordingly based on your destination and visa type.
Do I need an appointment to submit my application?
To ensure we can assist you properly, visits are strictly by prior notice. Please message us to set an appointment before heading to our office.
What if I do not have an Income Tax Return (ITR)?
No ITR? Do not worry. You may submit an explanation letter stating why you are unable to provide one. Our team will guide you on the proper format and content.
Should I book my flights before my visa is approved?
No. Please do not book or pay for flights before your visa is approved. Embassies do not require or recommend purchasing air tickets prior to visa application. Having a booked ticket does not influence the consul's decision — the visa is evaluated based on your qualifications and documents, not your travel arrangements.

Do you require personal appearance upon submission of documents?
We will confirm whether personal appearance is required based on your specific visa type and the destination embassy's rules. Our Visa Officer will advise you in advance so you can plan accordingly.

What else should I bring when I visit your office to submit my visa application?
Please bring the complete set of documents based on the list of requirements for your destination country, along with your full payment for the visa application if you have not yet paid. Coming prepared saves time and ensures your application can be processed right away.
You may opt to send them via courier or same-day delivery services such as Lalamove or Grab, or have someone pick them up and drop them off on your behalf. Please share the courier/rider details to our team to ensure we keep communication with them and get your parcel safely.
Whichever option you choose, please make sure to bring or send the complete set of documents based on your destination's requirements list. Coming prepared minimizes back-and-forth and helps us process your application without delays.

Will you return the original documents that I submitted?
Original documents that are required and submitted directly to the embassy will not be returned to you. The embassy retains them as part of your visa application. Make sure to keep personal copies of all important documents before submitting.

When will you file my visa application after you receive my documents?
We file your application as soon as all requirements are proven correct and complete. Our Visa Officer will advise you on the target filing date upon receipt of your documents so you always know what to expect.

What documents should I receive from you after I submit my visa application?
Our Visa Officer will give you a document checklist upon receiving your papers. You will also receive an official receipt once your payment has been settled. Keep both for your records throughout the application process.

How will I know if there are additional requirements needed?
Do not worry, we will contact you! Our Visa Officer will call, email, or text you regarding any additional requirements requested by the embassy. You will never be left in the dark about your application status.
